In addition to his lack of ability to listen and work with me to find a common ground, their ability to respond to phone calls and messages is appalling. I had been trying to get a hold of someone to try and plan a next step for me. I called on a Monday and was told I would "definitely receive a phone call back by the end of the day" I hadn't heard back so I called again the next day with the same response. It took almost a month and about 10 phone calls before I finally spoke with someone. After a second visit in about a month and a half span we finally figured out what our next step would be, and in this case it was the doctor's office sending a prescription request for an in home UV light treatment box. I was told and understood that the chances this would be denied were pretty good, but I wanted to at least try before making any other decisions. This was about 2 weeks ago. I have received 3 phone calls from the company that manufactures the light treatment box to tell me that they are waiting on paperwork to be sent from the doctor's office before they can move any further along with the request.
I have also seen others providers that have been professional and caring.
I can't believe the number of negative reviews I am seeing here. I have had nothing but excellent care in the Concord area and it starts for me at Dartmouth Hitchcock Clinic. Sure - occasionally there are problems, but usually they are easily resolved.
I am writing my review entirely on my experience with Kim Keaton, Michelle Chu and Sandra Bell. I have been a patient at Dartmouth Hitchcock on and off for years, and no matter where I have moved to, I have found myself back in the care of Kim and Sandra, as they are both incredible providers and their nursing staff are prompt and devoted. The facility it's self may have it's own flaws, but I have always been nothing but impressed with my care with these three women. Jenn in OBGYN is a great nurse who always returns my phone calls promptly and answers any questions I have in a skilled and articulate manor.
Please don't blame the doctors and staff for having to follow guidelines.
I have gone to DHC for many years and my experience with the Doctors and Staff have been mostly positive.
The dermatology department at Dartmouth Hitchcock is a joke. I understand that they have many patients and are incredibly busy, but I also believe there should be some sort of effort to make the patients feel like you care and are trying to help. Every time I've gone in my doctor acts like a car salesman that needs to push that one vehicle on you (in this case 1 treatment option) I have been very clear that this option isn't something that I can manage and have asked multiple times for other options and it always circles right back to that same option.
I was on the Dermatology site and looked at the rating and was stunned. I guess that this was overall for reviews but I have to say that my experience with Dermatology was excellent. Looking again to see someone because my Dermatologist retired. I guess I would not hesitate seeing anyone in this practice. They have always been exceptional and I NEVER experienced anything but professionalism and competence from signing in to leaving.
My experience with Dartmouth Hitchock's dermatology department could not get much worse. I would never even think about recommending them to anyone. Do yourself a favor and find another place where you'll at least have a chance of feeling like the doctor's want to help. Because this place only feels like it's a business and you're the customer, and not a patient.
I have been to other doctors offices, but no where else has been as personable and friendly as Primary Care and OBGYN at Dartmouth Hitchcock.
Kim Keaton is fabulous and has always given me the time to let her know what is happening with me. She is a wonderful caring provider and so are her nurses.
You can't blame the Dr's for the amount of time they are allotted to see you. They are told how long they can spend with each patient depending on the individual needs.
