We had to make the tough decision to put our sweet Riley down yesterday and the staff at AVC in Concord was empathetic, caring and supportive. We have been bringing our pets for emergency care here for about a year and have had nothing but positive experiences. We will be switching to AVC for routine care as well. Thank you Dr. Kelloway and staff for always taking care of our fur babies and helping us deal with tough decisions. I cannot recommend this vet enough.
The person who took my call really listened to my unusual situation and responded with advice about which office and what time to visit. (You don't realize how often people don't really listen to you until someone finally does). Dr. Kalloway was super knowledgeable, and when my dog presented with an unsual clinical finding, Dr. Kalloway found an answer and followed up with me immediately. Also, I really expected to be told that we needed new x rays, blood work, etc. as has happened elsewher I was pretty thrilled and surprised to get out of the office for just the cost of the office visit.
Had a great experience with AVC. This is the first time I have used them as my dog was injured when my vet was closed. I had a positive experience, the staff seemed genuinely concerned about my pup, and surgery went well. They honored their estimate, and treated our pet with care. Thank you.
brought our pup there last night was told she has lyme and the dr was going to give a prescription and send on way. I asked to do a full blood panel which revealed low blood counts and high levels for liver and kidneys. so we submitted more blood for the liver tests. and a urine sample for kidneys... was told to give her now TWO antibiotics at same time with food.i was able to get her to snack a tiny bit gave her meds and she threw up. do I called but the Dr I worked with earlier was gone and they new one said to bring her in to the other location which is an hour away..and I had already spent over $600 maybe 2 hours earlier there. and was told unless I had care credit or could pay up front they probably couldn't help. so we called another vet 1st thing in the morning and they saw her. said she should have never been on both antibiotics at the same time even with food. and that her white blood cell count was so low he's suprised we were just sent home. and she is very dehydrated. which I had told the vet she hadn't drank in over 2r hours except for maybe a cup of water while at the vet. needless to say the 2nd opinion was that she probably would have passed if she didnt get a 2nd opinion .were glad we got a 2nd opinion but don't think we will be going back to avc anytime. i also had a awful experience a few months ago with rude receptionist and Dr. (not the same people on last night).
The staff and doctor at this hospital were extremely caring and gentle with my very sick german shephard. They treated her with care and were very sensitive to my concerns. They took the time to make sure I was comfortable with their diagnosis and answered my questions.
